Admission Arrangements
Foundation Stage One (Nursery)
Parents are asked to register their interest in our school as early as possible to inform the school of future numbers. If you have registered an interest then we will send you an application form to complete in October prior to the following September start date.
Applications for our Nursery are available directly from the school or via the link below. Please complete all sections of the form and send these directly to the school. Parents are notified whether a place is available from February prior to the September intake.
We do offer January and April early start dates if we have places available. If your child qualifies for an early start we will inform you.

Foundation Stage Two (Reception)
Admission to Reception class in September for children who have had their fourth birthday on or before 31st August

Important: Please print off and complete the Roman Catholic Additional Information form for Catholic schools and send it directly to the school.
If you are unable to access the admissions website, you can obtain a paper copy of the application form from the school office.
In Year admissions for each class
An application can be made for a place for a child at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are available places. An application should be made to the school by completing the in-year admissions application form and returning it to the LA. A school admission pack will also need to completed and returned to St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School, Roberts Road, Balby, Doncaster, DN4 0JN
Where there are places available but more applications than places, the published oversubscription criteria, as set out in the admission arrangements will be applied. Parents are advised to read the admission arrangements carefully before making their application.
If there are no places available, the child will be added to the waiting list. Please see the admission arrangements for more details.
You will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing as soon as possible. Applicants must be informed of the outcome of their application within 15 school days of receipt, but the aim is to notify applicants of the outcome of their application within 10 school days of receipt.
You have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel if your application is unsuccessful.

In addition to the school Prospectus, a parent can at any time contact the school to request a place. It is expected that parents meet with the Head of School to arrange a meeting prior to a place being offered.
The school offers 30 hour free Childcare for our nursery.
