Year 1 - Home Learning
Our theme this week in literacy was based on the book ‘Paddington’. Children used their inference skills, singular and plural nouns. In mathematics children focused on comparing numbers within 50. We have also started our new topic in Geography where children created their own maps. RE children showed their creativity skills.
All children excelled this week, just look at their fantastic work!
Our topic ~ Roarsome Dinosaurs
Year 1 have been so creative, they have made pom pom snowmen and reindeer keyrings. To advertise their product, they designed their own poster and slogan .......
Ho Ho Ho buy me before I go!
Children explored why the poppy is used as a symbol of remembrance on Remembrance Day and created their own poppies to display around the school.
Our PE day is on a Tuesday. However, I would advise that you bring your PE kit in on a Monday and take it home Friday.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you all for your hard work
