‘Achieving Excellence Together, with God’s Love.'

Our Mission Statement

At St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School

we strive to live out the Gospel in the way Jesus teaches us to

We celebrate the diversity of our school community and

value each person as unique; made in God’s image and likeness

We work together, through God’s love,

to enable our pupils to achieve excellence in all aspects of their education

“Achieving Excellence Together with God’s Love”

The aims of our school are:

  • To live in the way Jesus teaches us in the Gospels
  • To create a caring atmosphere of mutual love and respect for others, rooted in the Gospel values.
  • To teach the Catholic Faith and provide experiences of the Church’s liturgy.
  • To Cherish each child by seeking to provide an appropriate education that meets every individual's needs and supports all pupils to achieve their full potential.
  • To develop in each child a sense of his/her own worth and the unique contribution they can make to their family, school and community.
  • To actively promote a partnership between home, school and parish in order to nurture the development of every child
  • To offer a broad and balanced curriculum for all learners
  • To provide a secure environment in which all members of our community are encouraged to try their best, be tolerant, show self-discipline and be guided by God's love.

Every half-term, we focus upon two Gospel Virtues as a school community  through our acts of prayer and liturgy focusing upon how we can endeavor together to live out this virtue in our words and actions in order to achieve our mission.
